Giving to VA District

We are pleased to announce our new all-inclusive giving platform, Planning Center Giving. You will see this new platform in the coming weeks across our website and mobile app. With this new platform you will be able to gain access to your giving history (No matter the method you give), manage your recurring gifts, and update your giving profile at any time!

We want this transition to be as easy as possible for you. So here are a couple of things to look out for:

  • Our VA District App and website giving pages will automatically change to the new site. Don't be alarmed if it doesn't look the same as the previous one. If you see the same church logo as the one above, you have the right page.

  • Your current recurring gifts will continue to process through the old system until Bro. O’Donnell has worked with you to move them to the new one.

  • Don't worry all of your giving history for the current year will be migrated to your new profile.

Planning Center Giving

Planning Center Giving is an integrated financial management platform where donors can manage and view their tax-deductible donations online.

Things to Know About Planning Center Giving

  • If you have a valid email in our database, you will receive a receipt for all your tax-deductible donations given no matter the method; cash, check, credit card, or ACH.

  • The online giving portal can be accessed through the link on the emailed receipt or by visiting this url:  - also found on our website and mobile app.

  • Passwords are not required for this site – Planning Center will email or text a time-sensitive code each time a user accesses the portal.  Make sure you use the same email or mobile phone number as the one we have on file.

  • Recurring donations can be scheduled on the days/weeks that are convenient for you.  This can make things easier for you during seasons of travel or commitment giving based on a frequency.

  • Donations to multiple funds can be done in one transaction. This helps reduce the amount of fees we spend

  • You can access your giving history and manage your payment methods at anytime through your giving profile

  • For checks received through the District office, the donations are entered individually, not as a family account, under the account of the first name listed on the check to provide consistency.  Cash donations will be entered under the account of the person’s name on the envelope.

  • Designated payments made for mission trips, camp, books, materials, or other non-tax deductible payments should be made in separate transactions from your tax deductible donations.

Current ways to give

Online ACH Bank Draft or Debit/Credit

Giving electronically using the Planning Center Giving system with one of the below payment methods:

  • ACH – this is a draft from your bank account. We are charged a $0.25 fee per ACH donation.

  • Debit/Credit Cards – We are charged a 2.3% + $0.30 donation fee on all debit/credit card transactions.
